car insurance quote

My car insurance is due soon and naturally, as a mse'r, have begun getting quotes from as many different sources as I can, using websites.
Endsleigh RANG ME UP today, asked me if I'd consider a quote off them - I <very kindly I thought> agreed. They couldn't beat the best price I've had so far but offered to put me through to another linked insurer. Yeah okay, I thought. Ended up with this motor-mouthed woman, who when couldn't beat said best price, asked why I'd bothered ringing them when had got such a good price anyway and when I hadn't even got my renewal notice yet !
I consider myself well and truly told off for merely answering my phone.

Beauty of this site is it has 100s of insurance companies and will also remind you next year and dont have to fill in next year your car details/address if yu aint changed anything.
Dont trust the same insurnace company I saved £75 with same insurnace compnay, same car etc. Just didnt renewal and took out a new policy with NU.

This is a tricky one.Whilst we all have different requirements it can be difficult to judge one companies price from another.Try https://www.morethan.comcame out top for me again. Go to https://www.bighair.co.uk cashback website and become a member. Then use their link.
At least that way you may save an extra £20 going through them on the link.Try not to be swaid if you need breakdown cover as it would appear that this can be quite cheap if you search Mse information.Start at https://www.moneysupermarket.com and expect at least a 20% saving on those prices.Remember your cashback.I should pay this year with cashback
£234.Hope to get a better quote at the more than website0 -
I can't recommend confused.com enough. That's where my best quote has been so far - and that was from morethan.
I went to the confused website last year and got a very competitive quote from diamond. They rang me next day and cut another £80 or so off an already low quote. Was £400 less than my insurance renewal. I kept asking if they had all my details and were they sure. They won't do a quote on confused 'cos I'm already with them and I haven't yet rung them.
I've a feeling theirs will be the cheapest this time too, just thought I'd do the checking beforehand.
I didn't recall seeing endsleigh on there which is why I'd gone to their site.
(still baffled as to why this woman was implying I'd wasted her time when I didn't ring them!!)0 -

I remember phoning Norwich Union after I had received a quote only for them to decrease the quote. She was able to use some offer but it was only by £10.
I find that some companies may juggle with your excess. They may even give the sales chat as to ''as you may have never had an accident why don't you increase your excess''.No I keep mine at £50-£100
Then you have "Privilege".They say they would beat your renewal if you have 4 years no claims. It would be nice if they said by what %.They may only beat it by £10-£20.The chances are the price you paid last year can be beaten as more players come in working on tighter margins.Or some of us just
moan about high insurance but just pay without searching. Can't be bothered attitude...Hope you find the right one for you.
A few years ago Barclays were coming out with unbeatable quotes and you could get for £35full breakdown cover with continental cover and green card .
I know they did start increasing prices but I wonder if they have changed direction.0
