Daughter just said someones been trying to change her password for her windows live account
Shes getting this message to her account
You recently asked to reset your Windows Live ID password by e-mail. Follow the
instructions below to reset your password, or to cancel your password reset
request.
She denied the request but this has happened twice so she wants to write to them. Does anyone know the address to write to coz we can't find it anywhere on the windxows live site?

She should change the password to something as random as possible (using numbers and letters) herself now. That should stop it.:A MSE's turbo-charged CurlyWurlyGirly:A

If the email is reporting a password reset request, then changing the password probably won't stop this from happening. It might be more effective to change the security questions on the account to something that no one would know.0

Yeah I'll ask her about that, shes probably set some up I alwats give answers that are nothing to do with the questions so no one would guess themThanx

It's probably someone who's forgotten their username and password and thinks that your daughter's username is theirs. Probably a slight different spelling or something. I've had my email address given to people by a company who thought it was their address. Nothing malicious, just people with poor memories/incompetance, a hyphen here, a dot there, can easily happen."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Could be but its a bit of an unusual address so its not that likely reallyThanx

Change the password used for the email account which is linked to it. As you say it was being reset by email this sounds like the area of weakness??Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults0 -
No it wasnt reset it was just attempted to reset she chose to deny the reset. They don't know the password or they would have got in so I don't think shes changed itThanx

No one will be able to access her account unless they can get into her email address. Changing the password or questions wont stop this as when you request the password by email you are not asked a password or any questions as only the person with the email address can access the password. Hopefully the person trying to change her password will get bored as they are getting nowhere and let up after a while.Offical MSE Fantasy League Member:beer:0
