An Ipod Question...

Hi
I just downloaded 360 songs on to my hubbys ipod shuffle from the albums we have at home.
I then pressed get album covers, but that was 1 1/2 hours ago and the ipod still says Do Not disconnect. How long should it take to do the dowloading - has it crashed???!

It takes about 30 seconds on my PC, around 500 songs.
Last time I checked the shuffle didn't have a display so..........?

I didnt think the ipod shuffle had a screen
Is you computer older as when i update my ipod my whole computer goes slow and i cant do anything else and it takes a really long time to update. Offical MSE Fantasy League Member:beer:0 -
Sorry - its an ipod nano! Doh!
It still says do not disconnect but i think im going to have a look and see what its done.

Have you tried pressing 'eject'?0

If you cant eject via itunes go on my computer and eject the ipod then eject removable device (you will understand once you get there) this will eject your device then connect it up again and try updating album art again.Offical MSE Fantasy League Member:beer:0

When I first got my Ipod, I saw it say "Do Not Disconnect" and I assumed it was doing something important and I thought I should wait for the message to change before doing anything - but it never changes by itself.
I stared at that Ipod for hours waiting for it to change thinking it was only OK to unplug it when the display changed:rotfl:
The message is misleading. It really means to say "Make sure you eject the Ipod before disconnecting" - It's not telling you to wait for it to do something.
So eject the Ipod (either from the system Tray of from inside Itunes) and then the message will dissapear right away
(You can tell if it's done syncing from the display in Itunes, the Ipod itself won't tell you anything as long as its' connected)0
