    If a bank has good customer reviews and is ranked 10th on the list of the world’s safest banks” why should it have to be split up?

    Fragmentation, competition and nationalisation is necessary for institutions which fail customers or fail to maintain liquidity. All the big UK banks failed on at least one of these criteria.

    I think there are a lot of PR types and vested interests on these MSE boards frightened of institutions which focus on customers rather than shareholders.
