Hi
I've heard this hotel is used by the cruise ships as the drop off hotel following a cruise.
I've read reports of a long standing issue with a gastro entertitis type bug there.
Has any one else heard of this or had any experience of this hotel, as I'm thinking of booking a week's stay there?

Sorry, I just can't square those two statements
Why would you want to book it if there's a possibility they're a bit lax with food hygiene?
It may well be just one or two cases exaggerated a bit, but why risk it when there are hundreds of other places without such a tag on them?0 -

I can see your point, but I like the look of the hotel's location.
I don't want to go there if its a long standing issue or just a one off case

But even if a few people here say it's OK, you'll still have those elsewhere who said they had the trots the whole time they were there.
You'll be none the wiser
There are others in a similar location ie Intertur Hotel Hawaii Mallorca0 -
My mother stays regularly and friends of mine the same. Not heard of any food poisoning going on there, Its a nice enough hotel but far to "English" for my tastes.0

Try the Hotel Son Matias Beach which is next door. We have always said that we would never go back to the same place again once we had visited and we stayed at the Son Mathias (after 20+ years of marriage and holidays) and we have been back 4 times. It is adult only but great value for money.0

Sad to hear this !
For many years although the rooms were not big this was the best hotel in the south of Majorca. I took my children there a few times and a lot of staff in particular the restaurant manager became good freinds, the food and service used to be A1 .0
