recommend a solicitor in Birmingham

On this house move I'd like to use a solicitor who is local and not the other end of the country.
Can anyone suggest a good, Birmingham/Solihull based Solicitor?
Thanks in advance!

I used a Shirley based one (Standley & Co). It was the one recommended by the estate agents I used (Hunters), but they were very good for me. If I needed to contact the solicitor (not an assistant or office junour) then I always got through. If I had an issue it was always resolved.
Shame I only used them for the sale of my property and not for the purchase of my property.0 -
We regularly use David Bunn & Co, Stirchley (James Bunn) and one of our other clients is using Kings Heath branch (Gemma Lloyd).
Other solicitors of note, ESN in Erdington (Joss Hunt) and Talbots, Stourbridge (Jennie Little).I am a mortgage broker. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. This signature is here as I follow MSE's Mortgage Adviser Code of Conduct. We have used Adam Kerr at Moseley, Chapman & Skemp in Sutton Coldfield. They were the cheapest quote we received and have been very quick, plus very nice to deal with & always happy to chat if you have any questions. I would definitely recommend them0

cant suggest who to use just who not....
Sydney Mitchell several branches
Allsopp and co in Solihull town centre
in my experience would not trust either with anything.I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.0 -
We are using Standley & Co but based in Knowle, Solihull for sale & purchase. Like DJ Boz, we have always managed to get hold of our Solicitor over the phone, most of the correspondence has been through email which made the process at our end quicker. Out of our chain, we were the first ones by a couple of weeks to be ready for exchange.0
