Not my thing.I have original Pink Floyd and Hendrix posters, plus one from the Bath Blues Festival in 69, but I would never have put THAT on my wall, even in the 60s! :rotfl:
And since when has Tiverton been in North Devon???? It's just about possible to buy the Journal there, but only in a very few establishments and then they may keep it under the counter.0 -
Pete turned up with half a lamb tonight, so we were very late finishing the watering. Had to give up at 10.30pm.:( By then, I'd spilled comfrey water over myself in the darkness and I smelled terrible!
What a lot of tidy looking lotties, Maggie, and what a fab shed. :TSome impressive crop in rhiwfiield's greenhouse too.:)
I would love to report that we got the woodshed roof on...but we didn't :v(0 -
Our budget buster this year continuing
Remember, this Was 'just meant to be a bathroom' and has turned out to be some pretty hefty five figure surgury on the house.. Bearing in mind we still have no hot water for said bathroom it all seems a tad silly.
Having a corridor seems like a blessing, even though I dislike 'warren' runs,0 -
Very humod here & went to paint some windows but it started to rain drizzle drizzle drizzle.
Maggie - greta photos & very organised looking indeed. I'm dead jealous as my garden hasn't been caught up with at all at all.
Architectural technicians are much more savvy than architects & usually understand what you wish to do & explore that rather than impose their egos on a design - I would be biased about that though!
Hope the weather dries up & we can get the roof finished this week - now that would be amazing.), although there is a limited amount you can dovwithin sensible financial limits. Our architect is a fan of apexed roofs and lots of glass. This has cost implications however, because glass comes in standard sizes and his designs don't! We are glad we've found a (new) window supplier who does aluminium for a very similar price to the uPVC.
Gorgeous day again here. We're going to the beach and picking up the silkie (Batman!) after school.0 -

morning all:j:j
another hot sticky night...supposed to have been a bit cooler last night and today, but at the moment it doesn't feel like it.
here is a pic of our boar we bought in market on Friday...He is in the run next to the piglets, and he is so gentle with them, when they stick their snouts through the fence. he must have been an indoor pig, he was sooooo clean, and didn't have a clue how to snuffle through the ground etc, but he is getting there now
and a typical pic of some of the piglets, which make the walkers going by giggle... one started doing this at feeding time, to stop the others getting the food, it looks as though its also a chill out place now aswell lolWork to live= not live to work0 -

I o this is an architect fail. Your planning could have encompassed the foresight to build in standard sizes.
My architect is actually rather good at this, and at not imposing His style on the house. Rather he saves the house from too much of our style that cannot be undone..
Where ours fails is he can be a bit relaxed about timings etc.....
(Paint, wallpaper etc is carte blanche as can be rectified in a few weeks and pots of white paint, some fittings like taps have had a sort of sigh and a ' if you must' reaction, but its clear from him this is OUR house, and our brief to him was to fight for the house.
In a modern house there is no constraint for the house, and he should be building what you want in the most cost effective way.
However, nonetheless, I am sure your house will be beautiful.
