Car ownership 2 years after sale
Peugeotowner
I owned an S-reg Peugeot 306 and after some poor garage repairs which I refused to pay for, we came to an agreement where they paid me a small amount and kept the car "for parts". For many months it was kept on the garage forecourt.
This was in Feb 2011. Fast forward to May 2013, I received a demand for payment as the car had been on public roads (on Jun 1, 2012) and as I'd foolishly not transferred ownership properly I'm being chased for the £80.
If I need to pay for my mistake I'm prepared to, but hoped there may be a cheaper way round this.

Ignore it, I have 3 of these in my possession after I told the dvla about the sale or scrapping of vehicles. Its highly unlikely to go further than demands from a powerless debt collectorWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

I'm sure you did send off the transfer section of the V5 and it's just that DVLA never received it. Bad Post Man....
DVLA are notorious for not receiving mail.0 -
Fergie is 100% correct.
It is not up to you to prove that you informed them [by post], it is for them to prove you didn't [impossible given that other people have already proved that they lose mail internally and don't log mail receipts].0
