My sister leaves the engine running on her car whilst nattering of snacking.

Always moaning about how much fuel she uses. Then pops over and starts it up and leaves it running.

well, he hasn't been forthcoming with any more details that would let me check the history of the car so I won't be taking the 500 mile trip to see it...

If it is from an island or near the coast, something to consider will be corrosion. Especially on the underside of the vehicle. Worth checking.

It's from an island and within at least 50 miles of the coast. :p (assuming the OP's in the UK and the car is also in the UK)

note, just because it has such low miles, don't accept silly offer for it. IMO you should pay for this the same as you would page for a 150K mile car. Because that would be the equivalent cold miles as the 30K or whatever it has on the clock.

nb. for a tdi 150K is nothing. A mk4 tdi can go on running up to 200K long distance miles without any problems.

If the island is Jersey, bear in mind that it won't ever have been driven above 40 mph.
