you need to finish it off in the same way as you do with silicon, wet your finger or spray it with soapy water & run your finger across it

If you MUST use your finger , suggest a little washing up liquid in some water. But the correct way is using two sponges. .

I use B&Q Tradepoint No Nonsense and am happy with it. Probably also available at Screwfix.

It is cheap. relatively wet and I tool it up with my finger - no need to wet the finger, nor use washing up liquid, nor anything else. I have used others. Polycell is good - it is firmer. But I find I get used to whatever and adjust accordingly.

So why do you define your method as correct, other than because you say so? I use a damp finger, as do most people I have spoken to, and professionals I have spoken to.

That's the way it's done, only !!!!!!s or those that can't control their trigger finger have to use a sponge:D

I find it better to use and acrylic sealant for decorating purposes rather than dec caulk.
It's designed for around frames but to be honest still isn't flexible enough for that IMHO.

But, it is more flexible than caulk, (but not quite so flexible as silicone), it is paintable, water solvent< so excess is easily removed, and it is cheap.:money::money:
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed
