Finance for Dental Work - A few questions

I don't expect anyone to tell me exactly, and I know the best bet is to go and discuss it with a dentist, and I will when I select a few potential dentists, but I was wondering what kind of score you would need (fair/good/excellent)? Has anyone had dental finance with a less than excellent credit rating? Would paying a larger chunk up front make it more likely to get finance?
I know my best option is too save up but I am newly graduated, I have terrible teeth and I feel this is affecting my success in interviews. So I would rather get it done sooner than later. I do have a job, it's a minimum wage part time job. Would this effect my chances of getting finance?
I wanted to get a feel in case I'd be wasting my time even enquiring, I don't want a search showing up on my credit report for something I won't even get. I've worked hard to pay off credit cards and overdraft and want my rating to keep improving.
I aren't sure if this is in the right board, sorry.

I get declined for a Tesco Credit Card with a £1,200 limit but I get accepted for a £11,000 car loan from Vauxhall.
Depends what risk the lender thinks your are. As you are getting dental work, essentially they have no asset to repossess unlike my car finance.
No-one can answer you apart from the dentist when the finance is applied for.
Also, don't worry about your teeth, it's your inner confidence that sells yourself.
Good luck with the interviews!0 -
