Vanquis - replacement card

My old card is fading. If I ask for a new card, can I change the design of it? Feel quite ashamed having to pull my blue branded vanquis card out all the time. Need something a bit more discreet.

I'd expect not. However, why are you ashamed of it? Does it matter what the card is? I'm no more ashamed of my Aqua card than of my Aadvantage Amex card, they each serve a purpose for my benefit :)

You could give them a better excuse than that. ;)

I've just noticed that Vanquis cards have been given a design overhaul. I'd guess that a new card would have one of the new designs.

If you're feeling a big cheeky you could ask for the BNP design. :)

So where is the BNP card?

This is the next page, even has descriptions of the designs:

Surely no one here is stupid enough to think either the Union Flag or Cross of St George is the "BNP flag"?

Oh dear. I even put a smiley face after my comment. :)

Well, I suppose you could give them a call and say your card's damaged, not working or lost.

Then, add a 'by the way...'

Although, to be honest, I'd be surprised if anyone else even noticed it was a Vanquis card or knew what type of person is likely to have one.

Credit cards so common now that I no longer pay attention to them.

People who pay with cash, especially those who faff around trying to make up the exact amount, draw more attention.

I'd pick either the blue or purple one myself.

With Chip & Pin, other people rarely even see the card and those that do would be unlikely to know who Vanquis bank are.
