Civil Enforcement Ltd - Court Papers HELP PLEASE

HiNew member here!!
Please could I ask some advice, I received a parking ticket from civil enforcement ltd in Jan. I chose to ignore it after reading various forums and watching Watchdog clips advising me to do so. Today I have received a letter advising me I now owe £265 and if I don't pay I shall be taken to court!! There seems to be some court claim forms enclosed but to be honest they don't look all that official and look like photocopies.
It says I can pay £150 to ensure the claim doesn't escalate, should I do it? I'm quite worried as if it goes to court it says I owe £425 and I really can't afford that.
Really unsure what we should do?! Any advice would be much appreciated please.
Thank you.

NO YOU DIDN'T! You received a very dubious invoice, only the Police or Local authorities can issue a fine, private companies have no such rights, although PPC like to give the impression that they have the right to "fine" youAll that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing. You didn't get any fine at all.
And the outcome if you appeal and follow our advice about the POPLA appeal (if you are in England/Wales) is that the ticket will be cancelled. As it will likely be anyway, this week, if you complain to the Store Manager of the retailer on site, or the managing agent which runs the place if it's a multi-store retail park.

That link sums up the 2 things to do:
- COMPLAIN FIRST TO THE STORE MANAGER, especially if this was a retail car park and you were a customer.
- Then make sure you challenge the fake PCN when you get the first postal letter (was this a postal PCN?). Please, please read other threads not just about CE!!
YOU NEED TO START YOUR OWN NEW THREAD BUT COMPLAIN FIRST.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
