update from receiving UKCPS ticket.

This is an update from my previous thread, which related to receiving a private notice from UKCPS whilst i was parked outside one of their clients business. I was in fact not on private land. I provided suitable evidence ie council plans and land registry. Both these showed i was not parked on private land.

My first appeal was refused on the grounds that i was on private land!!.
Anyway i continued with a second appeal and i received a letter stating that they would not enter any dialogue about legalities of where i was parked.
So today the letter from them states that they still wont enter into the legalities but will drop the charge as a goodwill gesture.

I no longer need to go through POPLA and feel that they have tried it on with me to see if i would just pay.

This company are clearly not sticking to what they are meant to.
My first appeal should have been enough as i didnt provide anymore evidence than i initially had.

Should i complain to POPLA or will it fall on deaf ears ?.

It would have been better to put this on the original thread

But the complaint should go to the council and trading standards, popla won't get involved as there is no ticket to defend. UKCPS hardly ever cancel tickets , so that is your indication that they have seriously messed up.
When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

You can't complain to POPLA but you could complain to the BPA and DVLA that this firm 'may' have been ticketing on land that didn't belong to their client and could even be Council land (show your evidence and ask what the DVLA and BPA are going to do about it).

The BPA contact details are on their website 'complain about an operator' and the DVLA can be reached using FOI@dvla.gsi.gov.uk

Haswell 'reads' this forum so I think UKCPS saw your original thread and threw in the towel rather than lose at POPLA! :rotfl:
