PPI help - Barclaycard

Hi
I had a Barclaycard several years ago that I am trying to track down the Account number for as I know I had PPI payments.
The account is showing as £1cr on my experian file. I had originally written to them & paid £1 to obtain info and had a letter back saying they'd never heard of me, but then in a telephone call they eventually agreed they could find me just not the account number.
How can I get the Account number? they told me i'd need to ask experian to supply the info, but surely they wouldn't have it.
Very frustrating as I'm going around in circles.
Appreciate any help available.

Send a SAR and £10. Apparently Barclaycard routinely destroy data so you may not have all the info or there may be none left

But surely if I still have a credit, albeit only £1, on that credit card the information should still be available?0

Yes, if you send them a SAR as -taff suggested. But surely if I still have a credit, albeit only £1, on that credit card the information should still be available?

If you have a credit on the credit card you should be sent a monthly statement no? If you are, the card number should be on there.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0

I wonder if the £1 on the credit card has been refunded to the card because the OP tried to pay £1 for a credit agreement that was no longer available? If you have a credit on the credit card you should be sent a monthly statement no? If you are, the card number should be on there.
Strange way to do it, if that's the case.
Otherwise, perhaps the Experian report is wrong?0 -
I know I had overpaid on the card and thought at some time I would use it but I never used the card again.
They returned the credit agreement £1 to me via cheque as they were unable to supposedly locate my information.
I haven't received a statement, although I had moved and sent them a change of address...time goes by and it went out of my mind that nothing had been received.
I will send off a SAR and hope the information can be located.
Thanks.0
