    To tell you the truth I never thought of it like that. I'm sure we can work together to combine the 2 into 1. Or leave them as they are, a tradesman, client requirement contract is how I'm viewing it.

    Communication between the builder and I is going better than I expected.

    Well god forbid there is a problem but I suppose the courts will have to decide. But as a client I have the right to draw up a contract of my own. Thats my understanding.

    Yes you have the right to draw up a contract. But what point is there having 2 contracts? Why not have 10 or 20 all with different terms and conditions.
