JSA Faster Payment Help!

Hi,

I should have been paid today as I signed on Monday but nothing went in so I phoned up the DWP to ask why and they advised that no money had been sent out due to them waiting on the HMRC download for tax credits to update (whatever this means), then she advised that I was indeed owed some money and she would send this out via faster payments, how long does this take to reach my bank account?

Does it usually take a few hours to reach the account no matter who you bank with?

Asuming your account accepts faster payments (I think almost all current accounts do) it should be there within 2 hours from the time its issued.

I have a NatWest basic account with visa debit, do u think this will be ok?

Yes that would be fine, Natwest are part of the scheme - you'll see the payment at some point today, it all depends on what time JSA process it.

The payment has been received (thank god!) so thanks for all your advice
