Windscreen washer tank is leaking. Please help!

Hi

I recently purchased a Toyota Aygo 08. I tried filling up the windscreen washer tank and the water just pour out from under the car as soon as I pour water in. What could be causing this? How would I be able to remove the tank to see if it has a hole in it?

Thanks

If you're lucky the pipe has come adrift. If unlucky, the washer bottle is broken.

If you bought from a dealer, take it back and ask them to fix it.

    Thanks, unfortunately I bought privately.

In that case you'll have to try and find out where it's leaking!

Washer bottles are often hidden inside the front wings. You may have to remove a wheel and the wheel liner to get to it.

What year is the car? The washer bottle has a long neck on the later models, I think, but is still easily accessible from the engine bay.

    EDIT - I see it's a 2008 MY - this doesn't have a long neck.

this is one reservoir that you can and should patch up using a duct tape or something.

Unfortunately the pipes connected to the reservoir are not visible under the bonnet. Also the wheel covering does not let me see anything from under the car :(

If you're not happy doing it yourself you need to get a garage to do it.
