in Credit cards
Hi
I have been fortunate enough to clear one of my debts, a cc with £650 limit on it.
My credit rating is pretty bad, which I am in process of improving, so what would be better for my credit rating;
1) Close the account
2) Keep account open with full credit limit avaiable but never used
3) Use the card for things normally paid for with debit card but pay off purchases immidiately without incurring interest
Thanks

depends upon your full circumstances
but using the card and paying in full each month makes a lot of sense0 -

Firstly, well done for making progress on your debt clearing.
I see it as, if you are going to be tempted to end up running up the card and not being able to pay it off each month, then cut the card up.
If you feel as though you can manage to keep the card and use it sensibly and pay it off each month, then keep it.0
