switching to Sky Talk and BT line rental

I am a Sky TV subscriber and I want to switch my phone and broadband services from Toucan to Sky. I am currently paying line rental as well to Toucan, so I presume I need to go back to BT fro line rental only. What is the easiest way of doing this (as presumably BT will try to persuade me to switch my calls to them as well)?

Rinigng BT is the only way really. the calls go to BT automaticly, but then Sky can take the calls for you. Just make sure youre on option 1 with BT. :)

  • Thanks. Option 1 is the £10.75 per month option I presume, which must be the cheapest line rental from BT. So the best way is to go for this and then when set up switch calls to Sky?

Yes. BT may try to offer you a deal on BT Together Option 2 or 3 - just politely decline and opt for BT Together Option 1.

When that's live, you will be able to opt for any CPS provider you like. Sky Talk Freetime and Sky Talk Unlimited are both CPS services.

Have a click on the 'HERE' link in my signature below though - you may make a different choice.
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.
