B7Q flatbit rip off

Went to buy a 22MM flatbit to install a door latch. PRICE £8.68
This is the most common size and should be cheapest but its not. Other sizes are about £7.00. or less:mad:
Local ironmonger charged £2.45 +vat

Why should they be the cheapest?

    Aren't you paying for convenience?

    Thats correct.

You payz yer money and you getz yer convenience.

    Its really quite dimple....lol...
  • I've had a similar experience with my local hardware store buying screws, they were a fraction of the price and I was able to buy the number I required not a whole packet. I'm not saying you can't find bargains at B7Q but be vary when buying the little extras they can be quite abit more expensive and quite often one has to buy multipacs when only one item is required.
