Travelodge cheaper through a different company?

I am so confused, I went to book a hotel in Manchester (Should have booked it months ago when it was only £20 but that's another story and a kick for myself!) all the travelodges had gone up to over £60 as Rihanna is performing and after nearly paying £20 I didn't want to pay £60.

I looked on Travel Republic to see if there were any other hotels and managed to book the same £60 travelodge for £38 including breakfast? I am totally confused, how come it is cheaper through a different company?

Very pleased though, so I guess if you're booking a travelodge maybe check it out on other sites!
