harassment at work

Hi im working full-time as a gardening assistant for the council, at a temporary postion lasting six months, just wondering if anyone can give advise in the position I'm in. ta
bascically ive been overworked and stressed out; while also moving to a new flat, and one thing led to another.
I was getting harassment for putting grass in the wrong bin owned by different neighbors. (Treating me like dirt to begin with and becoming aggressive later on).
basically the neighbours are stereotypes in tracksuits who started a fuss over nothing
i gave a false name (because i was so stressed out and want them off my back) and they phoned up the council (because i just didn't want the hassle). As fate would have it my gaffer showed up and they started talking to him. I protested that i was being harassed and one of the them called me a "!!!!ing !!!!" for protesting and tried to take a swing at me. ( should of talked to the gaffer alone). I laughed afterwards (but how would u react if someone took a swing at u).
then the manager showed up and recorded details since it's under "investigation". was told to pack up early and see the upper mangament tomorrow.
any help is much appreciated, thanks

So you don't like people who wear tracksuits, or you have the same opinion of them? Is it their fault? Who's fault was it?All the big powers they've silenced me. So much for free speech and choice on this fundamental human right, and outing the liars.0

Well for a start I would stick to the facts and explain what happened. Talking about "neighbours are stereotypes in tracksuits" is exactly the sort of comment that will get you into trouble, as it shows your inability to deal with the range of tenants you are likely to meet in your job.0

Making up a false name makes it look like you have something to hide. Given the short time you have been employed I can only see this going one way0

Acutally why not tell your employer a lie. Go tell them this
'Well boss, you see those people in tracksuits did it and tried to blame me'
Your boss reply will be.
'Typical bloody council estate tracksuit wearing no gooders, well spotted, heres a payrise'All the big powers they've silenced me. So much for free speech and choice on this fundamental human right, and outing the liars.0 -

couple of questions!
Were you working at someone's property, or communal land?
Why didn't you have council bin(s) to put the clippings/waste into?
What's a "gaffer"? I thought that was the boss but obviously not LOL!
What prompted the "stereotypes in tracksuits" to come out and get involved in what you were doing? I'm not disbelieving you, but it seems really odd that they should just appear from nowhere and be instantly offensive to the point of swearing and trying to hit you, completely unmotivated!!DMP Mutual Support Thread member 244

Exactly what Harrys dad says, and get the chip off your shoulder before you go in to your meeting.
Think yourself lucky if you don't get the sack.
Only grovelling will help....make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

I am this guys friend and encouraged him to sign up, I told him to write stereotypes in tracksuits as he was not sure how to word things as thought chav would be offensive, I would mention he would not intentionally provoke anyone but can not realise when others have a problem0
