bottom loading bar disappeared in IE

for some reason, the bottom bar on an internet page has disappeared, so the bottom is now the scrolling left to right bar, and the bar that used to show loading progress has vanished! any ideas how to get it back?

Not on my IE7, as said above, it's simply view - status bar. As far as i can remember, the tools menu hasn't had anything to do with toolbars!
