  • I believe the tv internet and telephone package may be allowed if its a cheaper alternative ie do you get free calls?
What worrys me is the above on a contract the OR can find if he was inclined to look?

They are contracts through orange and virgin media.

The phone, internet and tv is a lot cheaper because its a bundle. I get free evening and weekend calls and my internet is cheaper because of it. It's either £11.50 for just a phone or £20 for phone and net and £30 for phone net and tv. I have the v plus service so I can record tv that makes it £40. I did have a dvd rental package at £14 before I got the V-Plus service so I cancelled that and got V plus.

Im afraid that links dead i tried to look for housekeeping a minuete ago;)
They've updated the info - here's the new link. :)
  • My landline avareges £25-30 a month with bt so its not that bad if you could drop the v bit

edit: Assuming you dont pay much in call charges

I pay literally nothing in call charges as I barely use it - nearly everything goes on my mobile!
  • Well according to that I can do £20 for my mobil and £19 for my landline!

Might do that and £10 for internet as I'm doing my ECDL at the moment so need computer access!
  • Right version 3!

    Income
    950

    Outgoings
    Rent 360
    Council Tax 65
    House Insurance 11
    Gas 25
    Electric 25
    Water 26
    TV licence £ 12
    Mobil Phone £20
    Housekeeping £205
    Clothing/footwear £25
Dentist/Opticians £25 (contacts paid in bulk cheaper than monthly)
    Prescriptions 8
    Hairdressing 15*
    Landline & Internet £30
    Holidays 20
    Emergencies 25
    Transport to work £48

    £945

Do you think I should bring down my housekeeping figure?
  • You could but i cant see the Or clearing £100+ by disaloweing enough for him to justify you paying an IPA anyway :D

    Thats good right?!?! :j :j

I probably wont bother changing it then, or would it be better so he doesnt look harder at the other bits?

I would suggest sererating your holiday & emergencies as sometimes holidays arent allowed & you don't want to loose it all.

See, this is the sort of thing that peeves me off. My OR suggested holidays were an acceptable expenditure. It annoys me that people are told different things.

  • Yes thats good there are no hardfast rules in BR but your aim is to think like an OR. they are not sopposed to impose an IPA unleess the can show you have more than £100 in disposable income after reasnable living expenses/costs so a little tweaking here and there may help make sure but i think your as good as there :D

Well that was easier than I thought!! :) Had a thought that I'd be teaking it for ages but I think I leave it as that! Sorted!

Right next question, I'm changing jobs and start my new one next monday so I was going to put in estimations of my new monthly wage and tax then tell the OR that they are estimates as I'm changing and show him my new contract - does this ok?
  • Cant see anything wrong with that myself but make sure it wont do what i metioned above regardin IPA,s ;)

SOA is done based on my new wage! ;)

I'm taking a small pay drop so my current wage would leave me with more spare but still not £100! :)
  • Gotta go for a bit ill be back later:D

    Okies! thanks again :D
