Can you provide some more detail - - what bank transfer was declined?0

so you tried to transfer money from your Santander account to someone else's Nationwide Flexaccount account, and Nationwide declined the payment?
Still makes no sense to me. It would help if you were clearer, and also would explain how this failed transfer relates to your question as to whether it is "difficult to get a bank account with nationwide". What have you tried to do, what are you trying to achieve?0 -
I think it's the account transfer that was declined.0

think you misunderstood my question.?... wanted to open new account in my name....transferring from santander to nationwide flexi account..ie bank switch..but was not accepted as i said i have a credit card with nationwide.. dont know how .......you assumed i was transferring someone elses account..thanksso you tried to transfer money from your Santander account to someone else's Nationwide Flexaccount account, and Nationwide declined the payment?

Hardly a surprise.think you misunderstood my question....
"Bank transfer" is a term used for transferring money from one bank to another.
So you were refused a new account with NW in the first place, not transferring account.wanted to open new account in my name....transferring from santander to nationwide flexi account..
Another puzzle from you. I can guess that your weren't accepted despite having a CC...but was not accepted as i said i have a credit card with nationwide..
I think it's time to start paying more attention to what you are saying.
Yes, Nationwide are known to be 'picky'. Having a CC doesn't necessarily mean managing it well. Also, there can be some new negative marks in your credit history after you had got the CC. If you believe that your credit history is good, try appealing with a copy of your credit history from the CRA they use.0 -
thanks sorry for not being clear about question..0

They can be picky about the offline debit cards, but it shouldn't be that hard to get at least a cash card plus account.
Did you apply online? Did they decline to offer you an account, or did they accept the account application and then decline the switch from Santander? They did that to me when I tried to switch a Cahoot account to a FlexDirect, but it's only a technical issue."It will take, five, 10, 15 years to get back to where we need to be. But it's no longer the individual banks that are in the wrong, it's the banking industry as a whole." - Steven Cooper, head of personal and business banking at Barclays, talking to Martin Lewis0 -

So you got a Nationwide Flexaccount?
Then you asked Nationwide to transfer your SOs and DDs from your Santander account to the Flexaccount, tight? And they told you what? How did you ask Nationwide to make the transfers?
If I got this wrong, what did you ask Nationwide to do after they opened a Flexaccount for you?0
