There really is little point in constantly ringing for updates about the status of your complaint. I suggest waiting until they respond by letter.Ladyinwaiting wrote: »

To be fair, I rang chasing a cheque that hadnt arrived by day 28 on an unrelated complaint.
I realise calling every X days isnt going to expidite my complaint on this one.
Just wondered if anyone else knew what 'quality checking' process in mbna meant
Thx0 -

In MBNA's case, probably a manager checking that the member of staff has used MBNA's interpretation of the redress rules, rather than the FOS rules.Competition wins:
2010 - approx £450. 2011 - approx £800. 2012 - approx £300. 2013 - nothing so far!0 -

I take it that the words quality and mbna shouldnt be used in the same sentence without a negative then??
Genuinely perplexed as to what quality checking means in relation to this complaint0 -
To be fair to them, they do uphold in quite a few cases and normally don't take too long about it. However, there are many cases where the amount of redress has been challenged, a number of such complaints are going through FOS at the moment.
It could simply mean that the decision or redress calculation is being checked by another member of staff just to check they've not made an error.Competition wins:
