Going round in circles - Barclaycard PPI

I first made a complaint to Barclaycard in December 2011 over mis-sold PPI on my old Egg card now owned by Barclaycard.
Several letters went back and forth over the next few months with them asking for more info. Then after about 6 months they advised me they hadn't yet found the details of my account and suggested I complain to the FOS which I duly did.
FOS acknowledged my complaint quickly but said it may take 12 months to deal with... Fast forward to March this year so not quite 12 months and I got a letter from the FOS saying Barclaycard had agreed to settle and I would hear from them within 12 weeks. This was 14 weeks ago and I've heard nothing.
So I've just rung the FOS again. They advised me to ring Barclaycard and gave me a number which turned out to not be for use by the public! Anyway, finally spoke to someone at Barclaycard who said they hadn't heard anything from the FOS since June 2012!! They told me to ring the FOS again and ask them to contact Barclaycard. I've done this but the man I spoke to at the FOS says that they have contacted Barclaycard regularly over the last few months and had responses from them regarding my account. Anyway he is going to chase them up but said that actually my complaint should be back between me and Barclaycard now and they have done their bit.
Feeling a little lost now and don't really know what to do next. It's not even a huge claim so I just feel like giving up to be honest. It doesn't feel worth the hassle. Anybody got any advice?
Thanks
Jenny

If I gave you fifty quid and told you to throw it in the river, would you?
So, get back in touch with Barclaycard, and forward them the letter from the FOS, saying that they are going to rdress you, ask them to do that, if they don't within a timnely manner, you'll be going back to the FOS with a complaint about their tardy reatment of your complaint.
If you don't have aletter saying this, what do you have that shows the FOS have done this?Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -
Thank you
All I have is the letter from FOS saying that Barclaycard have agreed to settle and they will be in touch with an offer within 12 weeks. This was dated on the 6th March so 14 weeks ago.
I think I will write to Barclaycard as speaking to them and the FOS on the phone is just stressing me out and they are just sending me backwards and forwards to each other.
Thanks

Photocopy the letter and send it to them, ask them what else would the FOS be referring to if not a successful conclusion to your complaint.
Speaking to someone on the phone isn't going to help you because they may not have all the facts available ot them.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -
Thank you
I will do that!
