Grrr IE7 automatically opens ALL zip files!

Hi, I'd really be grateful if someone could advise me of how to disable this. IE7 opens any zip file which I click on from the internet automatically, without any prompt. Now this is fine if it's a small file, but if it's a large one and I forget, then I have to stop the open and it's just generally a pain as sometimes you don't even know if the link has worked as it's opening in the background. Every other file is fine, i get a prompt asking if I want to save, open, or Cancel. I want to be prompted with the option to save or open zip files just like any other file, not let IE7 do it for me. Grrr.
Thanks.

Thanks.

Hi and thanks for the link.
I checked the file association and it's set to:
rundll32.exe zipfldr.dll,RouteTheCall %L
Use DDE is checked.
This did not happen under IE6 and I have never had any zip utility installed and would rather not start now. I like the ease of being able to open and copy from zip files with the shell integration. I just don't want IE7 to automatically open them.

Delete IE7, it will automatically revert back to IE6.;)
Or use Firefox.0 -
Just delete the association.
But when downloading zip files don't you get a window asking whether you want to save it or open it?0 -
Deleting the association. Then how do I open the files within the windows shell?
And no, I don't get the prompt, that's the whole point. They just open automatically, and for a 623MB file such as the one I downloaded today, that's just not acceptable. I don't want to have to remember to right click every zip file and click Save As, when half the time I'm not even sure it's a zip until it starts to open.

Well, the problem has fixed itself, which is good, but annoying as I still have no idea what caused it in the first place.
Oh well, don't look a gift horse in the mouth.
Thanks for all the suggestions anyway.
