Any reviews or handy tips?
We are planning on staying there for a week in August.
It's a Hoseasons caravan park but there's not too much info in the brochure (we're renting privately.)
Any comments good or bad appreciated!!!

Don't know anything about the park, but Rhyl is a bit of a dump these days. The Sun Centre is OK, if a bit pricey, but best to have a car so you can visit places other than Rhyl0

Oh well. Thanks for the reply though!!! And we do have a car and am planning on lots of days out - welsh mountain zoo and a couple of others can't remember.0

I would agree with what loobs40 has said about Rhyl being a bit ropey. But children generally love the seaside atmosphere of the arcades, candy floss, funfair etc if you have the money & stamina for that then you'll have a great time. Rhyl Theatre also has some good shows during the summer.
For something more sedate there are plenty of really nice places to go for days out. My children always enjoyed a trip to the Welsh Mountain Zoo. Llandudno and the Orme for tobogganing at the ski slope, great views up here; on a clear day you can see Blackpool Tower!! Caernarfon Castle is another place to visit, then take a boat trip on the Menai Straits. Anglesey has some beautiful beaches. Cheshire Oaks outlet village is not too far away and is great for bargain shopping.0 -
Thanks eevie, some places there that I hadn't known of. The Orme sounds good shall have to look that one up.0

I've got a caravan at Marine park and its a great site. The pool is really warm and there is a play park for the kids. There is a pub and club which get very busy in the summer the prices are very steep though. They have entertainment on in the big club every night and bingo. There is also a snack bar by the pool and then later on the chippy opens. There is also a shop and a launderette. It has recently been taken over by new owners so a lot of work has been getting done mainly updating it. Rhyl is only a short walk away but if u have a car there a lots of other places around you can visit which you have already mentioned. Hope you enjoy your stay there and the weather is good for u.0
