Which Energy Monitor?
Looking to get an energy monitor and wondering what many of you would recommend? Seem to be decent reviews on the Efergy Elite which is wireless and has tracking software included.
Any other ones worth considering?
I assume Solar Panels will not effect the readings?

For an accurate measure of your fish tanks you'd be better off with a plug in monitor for each (depending on the loadings you might be able to put them into a 4 way adapter and have that run through the plug in monitor). The type you are looking at are OK for whole house rough estimates but get pretty inaccurate at low levels.
The other thing you will need to be careful of on that sort of monitor (Efergy) is that if you put the cable clamp in the wrong place (or on some set ups don't have a choice!) you will end up showing net use and worse still potentially negative use (i.e. export) showing as use. They can't detect whether electricity is flowing in or out so if its on the main supply cable and you are generating 4kW but only using 1kW it will show you using 3kW just the same as if you are generating 1 and using 4. You can set them up on some systems on the cable to the consumer unit so it shows all use and ignores the solar panels but you'll need to be careful.Adventure before Dementia!0
