Santander Reward Account - check your travel insurance!

Found out this week that Santander Rewards travel insurance had changed during the last 12 months or so, and we were no longer covered. All our medical info was given when we first opened the account and was accepted. Santander must have changed their insurance provider so when we tried to update our medical details we were told that we were not covered now and probably were not covered last year either! Surely it must be wrong to change insurance conditions when we had been accepted at the outset of opening the account? Have lodged a claim for mis-selling!

Have lodged a claim for mis-selling!
But it met your needs at the point of sale.

The conditions will allow for changes to be communicated to you. It's more likely that they have communicated with you and you haven't read the relevant documents.
  • Just received compensation from Santander for the travel insurane which was changed without our knowledge - thanks to them for their handling of our claim!😎🍻
