Oh no, looks like it's peach leaf curl!!!

So I should remove the effected leaves but not spray until the autumn ???
Is this right ???A creative mess is better than tidy idleness0 -
It is peach leaf curl. However, it doesn't look anything like as bad as mine do... It's lunchtime, and I might pop out and then I can post a sad picture
Certainly been a bad year for it. Prevention is better than cure (yeah... helpful, aren't I...:p). If you look up Bordeaux mixture peach leaf curl on Google, you'll turn up what you should have done earlier.... Which equally isn't helpful....
All the more because I did do it, and you'll see (if i remember piccie) quite how little good it did me!!!
Tidying up the leaves is good, but it's a hard line to draw as to what you should remove from the tree...0 -
See... mine is horrible... and sprayed!
Still not helping, am I? Sorry!
Should add; that's a nectarine, but still peach leaf curl!0 -
It arrives on the winter rain, and as RHS advise, try & cover tree before then, plastic sheeting maybe, depends just how practical this is of course
Luckily my peach is in the greenhouse and no rain, but personally I would pick off the affected leaves in case the transmit the spores to rest of the tree, assuming you will not strip all the leaves off the tree of courseEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
You'll probably still get peaches though.Tim0

We've had a few last couple of years. As long as you keep up with the leaf cleanup it's usually not too bad.Tim0
