Installing dormer windows in loft conversion

Am buying a house with a side loft conversion but I would like to install two small dormer windows at the front of the house.

Does anyone know the likely cost of this? The floor of the conversion has been reinforced but I don't know if adding the dormer windows is a significant change in terms of load bearing etc.

Thanks in advance.

You will need planning permission to add front elevation dormers, which will increase the cost a fair bit (unless you can draw all the plans yourself). The dormers themselves could cost ~2k+ each depending on size and work required to the roof structure.

I think the front would be tricky, this may help:

Velux windows should be no problem though

I'm in a similar situation, I'm looking at a bungalow with a loft conversion.
The rear has a Dorma, but the front just has Velux Windows, almost every house already has Dormas on the front, but no idea how much it may cost.
Internet guesses have been between £3k and £10k.
