Just seen Lurpack spreadable tubs in my local heron for £1. These were the bigger packs and had a july date but I am sure they are fine for freezing. HTH

Had a look in ours today for the Lurpak, didn't have it unfortunately. Should be fine to freeze.

Has anyone tried the Xsell fish pies or the Xsell Mediterranean Chicken Breast Fillets?

I tried the Xsell fish fillets last night, really tasty and quite large pollock fillets.

I get stuff from the local Heron, i know there own breaded fish is cheap. The last few times i've bought 'Fishermans Pride' Basa fillets, 4 fillets 500gm. They were either £1.25 or £1,50, can't remember now. I buy my frozen veg there as well,

I buy a lot of frozen veg from Heron, Iceland frozen veg are pretty good as well. I like Iceland whitefish portions, also their breaded fish.

I don't see any unit prices in this local Heron.

Probably odd weights due to being imperfect, ie battered/breadcrumbed fish that has broken bits or where not fully coated.
