In theory, yes. For a case of discrimination to occur, there must be someone who feels they have been discriminated against. So I suppose, in theory, a school-leaver could go through the job ads in the local paper and decide to sue every company that asks for experience.
In that case then they haven't really stated an age. Surely a job can be advertised as '1 years experience' other wise we could all sue them.

Though such claims would clearly fail, because asking for experience in a particular role is almost certainly a proportionate means of achieving a legitimate aim, which amounts to a defence to discrimination claims.

Can you also advertise for a school leaver or 'no experience needed'?

Or advertise a pay rate equal to the under 18 NMW rate and state NMW under 18 rate?
You might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'

Lots of useful HR info related to all kinds of potential discrimination, including age, here.

Yes, lots of useful info. But still nothing about what happens if a company is 'caught' using an illegal advert. Maybe it's never happened...?

Why on earth are you so interested in this? Are you specifically looking for an opportunity to cause trouble, despite "jumping up and down shouting "you can't do that, you can't do that you, you can't do that"?

I am totally against discrimination in employment in all its forms, and have indeed drafted recruitment policies to avoid this scenario, but your repeated questions, despite being given answers already, seem to show a very strange attitude.

I seem to recall something reported (so must be true ... ) about a 'professional applicant' who routinely applied for jobs which had adverts that were potentially discriminatory.

When she didn't get the job, she sued and got payouts.
