help!!!!.. FRAUD???

Can anyone help with an explanation to this?

Had bother last year with BT charging me for calls to the talking clock, number 123 for 1 second at a time for 45p at times when i was either on holiday or at work.
I argued and argued with them as first of all i was at work and second I don't even have a landline plugged in, only use it for internet.
They ended up charging me over £90 for broadband one month so I eventually left.
I changed to Orange Home, and have now had a bill from them for 45p to the bloody talking clock for 45p on friday morning when I was at work.

What the hell is going on?

As 2 providers are seeing calls to 123 from your landline, it's clear calls to 123 are being made from your landline.

Do you have a Sky box plugged in?
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

Is it possible that your physical telephone line has been cut in the road at some point and joined to someone elses by mistake?
i.e your telephone line mis physically routed to the wrong address and you're being charged for someone elses calls

Pop a landline in and dial 17070 to see if the number is correct.
