I have had a mortgage with AIB GB for the last 14 years, my father has had several mortgages and loans with AIB GB going back many years. He phoned aib gb to ask about claiming back PPI and they put him through to another department where he was told "AIB has never sold PPI" and that was the end of the conversation.
I phoned a week later to ask about myself claiming back PPI and I was also told AIB has never sold PPI....I don't believe them!

Has anyone here ever claimed back PPI from Allied Irish Bank GB?

What are you reasons for mis-sale? PPI is not a bad thing to have in the right circumstances and mortgages are most certainly the right circumstances for 99.5% of people

Well I was never told I was being sold PPI , I don't even know at this point if I have. Thing is I don't believe that they have never sold PPI. My property was let so I dont believe I ever required PPI as the rent fully covers mortgage payments pluss my earnings.

It's not whether they actually sold PPI, it's whether they sold PPI to you!
In addition, it's not just that they may have sold you PPI-in order to be refunded to you it has to have been mis-sold to you.

You really are in a very weak position. You don't even know if you had PPI. You don't believe the bank, but you don't appear to have any complaint other than that.

When I talked to them they never even accessed my account detailes, they simply just said they never sold PPI, which I now know is a lie!

Obviously the persons working in that department have been instructed to mislead customers and prevent them claiming back PPI.

I find them to be a very strange bank actually, they don't behave like other high street banks.

Again, the fact that they sold PPI does not mean they actually sold it to you. Further, even if they did, it has to have been mis-sold to you in order that it be refunded.
Did you go to the link Krisdorey provided? It connects to a question and answer attachment.

Most Mortgage PPI complaints are not upheld because this kind of PPI does not usually suffer from many of the same faults as the loan and credit card variety.

First you need to ascertain whether you actually purchased mortgage PPI, but almost as important is to actually have a reason to complain that it was mis-sold to you.
