Single brick kitchen

Hi all
We've lived in our house for 21 yrs & would now like to sell, but it has a single brick kitchen (single story) which was already like it when we bought it, but wondered if it would be sell-able?

Anything is sellable, but the crunch comes when someone tries to get a mortgage on it!

Not saying it is definately unmortgageable, but they will quibble about the single-skin and valuations will be reduced because of it. Surveyors will also have a field day pointing out the obvious issues about single block - damp, cold, condensation etc, which may put off some.

Why not find out how much it would cost to have it either
1 knocked down and whole kitchen rebuilt
2 have a second skin of brick and insulation built around the original building

Wow, must be a small kitchen if it's built with a single brick ;)
