Lloyds TSB dispute

Hello everybody :) I have an issue with my old bank - Lloyds TSB, I hope someone can help me with it or give me directions how to solve it, because for the past one year I cannot fix it.

So back in 2008 I have opened an current account with Lloyds TSB with £100 overdraft. I was using the card for a few months until October 2008 when I come back to my home country. Never used the card after that because I have withdrew all the money before I leave the UK. Now I am checking my credit report and I can see that I have late payments on April, May and June 2009 and on 7th of July 2009 the account is settled. The strange thing is that those late payments appears only on my Equifax report, Callcredit and Experian are clean.

I tried to speak numerous times with Lloyds even in branch, but they said that this account is closed and they cannot do anything about it. And indeed when I login to my Lloyds Internet banking I can see that only my saving account is still there, the current account is gone.

I have all my account details, is there any way to open a dispute with Lloyds - I need those late payments to be cleared from my credit report? What you can suggest me, should I write to the ombudsman or something? Thanks in advance

Your story is a bit confusing and some facts appear to be missing.

In any case, though, you won't get the ombudsman to do anything of value unless you have had a formal complaint turned down by Lloyds. You also need to give Lloyds 8 weeks from receipt of your formal complaint to respond to you.

Not sure whether it would be worth your while raising any formal complaint because the issue appears to be over rather minor amounts that have since been settled or written off. In any case, they will drop off the credit files in July 2015 (6 years after they went on).

I don't know what you mean to be missing, all i have is this. My guess is that I have entered into the overdraft with small amount when I withdrew the money in October 2008. But even if this is the case, why they reported it to the credit agency at April - that's 6 months after the money was withdrew. Also there are no letters in the post that I owe them money. If this is the case, is there any option that I can pay them and they will clear the negatives from my credit report afterwards?

What did they say when you asked them whether you could repay it?

Oh hang on, the account is closed, so you don't owe them anything...............
