As long as it's clear in advance what's included, you're making a mountain out of a molehill. Be grateful you've nothing important to worry about.

Some people have too much time on their hands and not enough to worry about.

Crisps are bad for you: they're doing you a favour. Even better, make your own damned buttie.

OP, if I come to your house for a meal I will expect a minimum of three courses (or two courses and a drink).

You don't need a sandwich AND crisps, they're doing you a favour by removing them from the meal deal. Have an apple instead !

Make your own sandwiches, buy multi-packs of crisps from a supermarket (they have only 25gm weight so better for you than the single packs ;)) and buy multi-packs of drinks from a supermarket.

So, for a little effort and forward planning, you can put togeter a better 'meal deal' yourself and not have to worry about what sandwich shops are doing - and almost certainly save yourself some money too - very MSE! :T

I don't usually like it when people here are told to 'do it themselves', but in this case, it's such a no-brainer.

You can get better quality, exactly what you want, and save a fair bit each week with just a little bit of forethought.

It doesn't even take that much longer when you balance the time spend going to the sandwich shop, selecting, queuing and buying against the time take to prepare your sandwich.
There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.

Co-op do a great meal deal for £3.00 - example, £2.30 sandwich, £1.00 snack and any drink means things like £1.95 large cans of red bull etc.. is included.

£5.25 of food for only £3.00.
  • Boots do a meal deal for 3.29 and there's a 30p off meal deal coupon in the boots magazine so will be 2.99 and the foods very nice and different.

It's not much of a meal. Drink doesn't count as food.

You've clearly never been on a blokes holiday!
