We’d like to remind Forumites to please avoid political debate on the Forum.
This is to keep it a safe and useful space for MoneySaving discussions. Threads that are – or become – political in nature may be removed in line with the Forum’s rules. Thank you for your understanding.
PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING: Hello Forumites! In order to help keep the Forum a useful, safe and friendly place for our users, discussions around non-MoneySaving matters are not permitted per the Forum rules. While we understand that mentioning house prices may sometimes be relevant to a user's specific MoneySaving situation, we ask that you please avoid veering into broad, general debates about the market, the economy and politics, as these can unfortunately lead to abusive or hateful behaviour. Threads that are found to have derailed into wider discussions may be removed. Users who repeatedly disregard this may have their Forum account banned. Please also avoid posting personally identifiable information, including links to your own online property listing which may reveal your address. Thank you for your understanding.

Ok sounds reasonable..Im just hoping it wasn't one of the dogooders on here that reported it and got it closed cause that would really annoy me...0

Some one reported it.
It breached forum rules and I guess someone who got sucked in and embarassed decided to report it.
This thread will be reported as well and will probably get locked/deleted as well, best not to dwell.

It has taught me a valuable lesson..0 -
I've had my posts deleted. If someone complains then it's the path of least resistance. I suspect quite a few would have complained about sortofok's posts. People don't like to be made a fool of.0

Did the mod's delete that libellous one about Trinidad and Tobago?
I think that it could've caused an international incident.
There are dozens of threads in Money saving in Marriages etc that do not get deleted/locked/moved, but them's the rules.Well life is harsh, hug me don't reject me.0 -
Was it you thesaint and Generali that started that one a few months back that turned into a huge argument about how many pages the thread would turn out to be, along the lines of a House Price Crash thread? That was hilarious, there were so many clever comments on that one and even that disappeared.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
