    43yo amateur writer from South Wales. I have been using these forums for research and material for a book / screenplay I am writing.



    it says in the rules,permission is to be sought first by journalists,researchers etc etc ,not last

    presumably this was not done ,but it's only a guess

    It breached forum rules and I guess someone who got sucked in and embarassed decided to report it.

    This thread will be reported as well and will probably get locked/deleted as well, best not to dwell.

    I've had my posts deleted. If someone complains then it's the path of least resistance. I suspect quite a few would have complained about sortofok's posts. People don't like to be made a fool of.

    Did the mod's delete that libellous one about Trinidad and Tobago?
    I think that it could've caused an international incident.

    There are dozens of threads in Money saving in Marriages etc that do not get deleted/locked/moved, but them's the rules.

    Was it you thesaint and Generali that started that one a few months back that turned into a huge argument about how many pages the thread would turn out to be, along the lines of a House Price Crash thread? That was hilarious, there were so many clever comments on that one and even that disappeared.
