can we cancel policy

Options
My husband and I rather niavely (pre MSA) took out a v. expensive insurance policy for a five year period. As we paid up front does this mean we cannot cancel it. (bullied into it by carrington carr - never use this company!!)
Thanks

Buying 5 years of insurance up front is very often classed as a mis-sale when a monthly option exists. Especially if the insurance was added to a loan. You should complain to the company and follow the complaints process.

Any idea how I should approach this one. Notg sure how a letter should read etc. Also Carrington Carr have now changed names so not sure how it would work. Thanks though will definately look into it. We feel totally scammed by them in numerous ways

Also do we contact them ourselves or is it worth involving a solicitor.

The complaints procedure is free. Using a solicitor will involve unnecessary costs.

Complain in writing to them under their current name.
