Northern Parking Services Parking Charge Notice

Hi, I know there are loads of threads on this but no-one seems to be commenting back with what actually happened to them after the notice!
I was in Durham and parked on Claypath (Kwik Fit car park) at just after 8pm and when I came back to my car I had a parking notice stuck on my windscreen and the time it had been issued was 20:13. They must have been watching! I thought I would just pay the £60 instead of risking paying £100 in 14 days but when I went on the website it says, it said that my ticket hadn't yet been uploaded and to ring some number! The ticket was issued on Saturday which made me a bit suspicious as to why it wasn't uploaded on Monday! Anyway if someone could answer these questions it would be fab!
  • Do I have to pay this notice?
  • If I don't pay what will happen?
  • Can this company get my details from the DVLA as it states on the back?
  • Can the bailiffs come to my house as it states on the back?
  • ....who is sad enough to be out ticketing cars on a Saturday night?!?!?

Hope someone can help me because I really don't know what to do!

Thanks!

    Is it private or council???

    If private, then 3 choices

    Pay -
    Appeal -
    Ignore -

each [except paying, imo] has it's pros and cons

1 no you don't have to pay
2 in most circumstances a set of increasingly desperate threat o grams, then nothing

3 yes they can get your details, wait until you hear from them, do not contact them until you get the letter to the registered keeper.

4 baliffs? can you post a.scan of the ticket?

5 who is sad enough? people will do all sorts for a bit of pay, snd power trip, even of the pay isn't that great and the power non existant.

I'm not too sure on how to put a picture on but it says...

Failure to pay the parking charge within 14 days from the date of issue may result in your vehicle licensing details being requested form the DVLA. This will result in further administrative fees as detailed on the front of this parking charge notice. Failure to provide full payment within 14 days of you receiving a final demand will result in your details being passed on to our debt recovery agents. This will further increase the amount payable to cover administrative costs. In addition court action may be taken against you and bailiff costs may also be added.

Also my car is blue yet on the ticket the colour says grey!

blue, grey, yellow with green spots, the colour doesn't matter, what does matter however is who issued the ticket?

OK, I was on a mobile device, hence the shortish reply.

This is what you do for now... nothing.
You need to wait for them to get in touch with you first, and then ( if they do) take it form there.
on a side note is this them http://northernparkingservices.co.uk/

if so their website is a joke

this is taken from their enforcement page http://northernparkingservices.co.uk/selfenfrocement.html
The offending motorists are required to pay a parking charge of £85.00. This is automatically reduced to £60.00 provided we receive payment within 14 days from the date of issue. Failure to pay the reduced parking charge of £60.00 within 14 days from the date of issue will result in the vehicle owners licensing details being obtained from the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) and then the required payment becomes the full charge of £85.00. Our legal department and Debt Recovery Agent shall undertake, at no expense to you, the collection of the parking charge.

The pricing of the parking charge notifications is based on the Local Authorities pricing structure, and coincides with the recommendations as prescribed by governing bodies such as the DVLA and the BPA

plenty of holes in that website.

Anyways as for now, woowoo91 do nothing until they get in touch, coment on the ticket, if you can post it up online and on here making suire that any identifiying infomration is removed ( including barcodes/ticket numbers reg numbers car type times locations etc)

comment on the ticket, talk about the information that youve publicised on here so far, but dont give any furhter identifying information out.

But when they do contact you about a month or two after the incident, that's when to urgently post back here and draft a challenge.

Don't ignore the first letter, use it to appeal and then get a POPLA code and win. In the meantime read up on challenging and appealing to POPLA as you will need a basic understanding of the different appeal wordings needed at those 2 stages to get this scam cancelled.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I wish they will get your details after 14 days, because if they do it could lead to them getting banned from dvla access. They must wait at least 28 days before they get details from the dvla.

I've asked the bpa for an explanation of why an aos member is wilfully breaching their code of practice, and what are they going to do about it
