Here I’m having a huge rant about Avon cosmetic’s
About 6 months ago, I was an Avon sales leader in training and needed on extra person of my team in order to reach the approved stage, My sales leader (Local area manager suggested I used my partner as he was always with me help anyways)
During this time, My partner had one street with was well known with time wasters (I didn’t know at this point) So, He had huge orders £200+ and submitted his orders.
Well the above happened & no one answered their doors, To claim their items resulting in my partner arranging the returned items.
The courier that came and collected the goods was so rude and arrogant & only signed one slip. I begged him to sign the other because we’ve had errors in the past of items not being returned to Avon. He just put a wiggly line in the signature box and left.
All this time everything was fine, Until around 8 weeks ago when OH received a letter from a debt company explaining that he owed over £285 in products.
I contacted them on OH behalf explaining 1) OH never had orders for that amount & 2) I could prove that the items was collected via courier.
Finally after submitting the copies of the signature the debt agency agreed that Avon had indeed received the items and closed the case.
Then, Friday OH received another letter, This time from a different debt company explaining the same.
Again, Another phone call, We’re currently awaiting for Avon to get back to this company.
Saturday, Oh had to head to the bank, They run a credit check and told my partner he’s now being refused credit everywhere and that we should contact a credit check company to find out why.
Avon has put a default on his check background. This was added a few months back and he was never contacted otherwise from Avon.
Is there any other way I can get this cleared up for other half? He suffers with dyslexia & mental health issues and is getting very worked up with all this stress and worry!
Thanks in advance!!

You can get a copy of your credit file for £2 a time from Experian, Equifax and CallCredit (there's also Aristotle, but they aren't as widely used). It's a statutory right to this.
Someone else will probably be along shortly with some more advice.
I wish you the best of luck!0 -
I would write to the credit file companies and state you dispute this default, provide them evidence and also write to Avon head office and explain the same. Bad credit is a total pain and they need to remove this now!No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!
Thanks to everyone who posts competitions. You are the stars of the board :T:j:T0 -

You say you spoke to the debt recovery company about the returned good but I can't see where you say you have ever confirmed with Avon directly that they did in fact receive the goods that you returned.0
