Everything will rent at a price.
if it would cost £300 a month to heat (average over the year) and the normal rent for a house its size was £1000 (which costs £100 a month to heat), I would rent it for £600 a month (£200 saving a month to put up with the inconvenience, uncertainty and cold spots)0 -
how can i find out what is a reasonable rent for a house with no ch or dg?:footie:0

i dont really feel the cold so for me, it wouldn't make a difference, i rarely have the heating on now.
i dont have central heating and if i need to warm it up i just use an electric heater, but its only been on twice this year.
saves me money on heating at least0 -
I live in a house which has night storage heaters instead of central heating and I hate it. But I'm here because it's cheap.0

theres probably someone who is prepared to rent without these...but the compromise would probably be the price.
To me double glazing wouldnt be a necessity but the windows would need to be secure...and gas central heating isnt a necessity as long as there was an alternative that was reliable and within reasonable cost to run.
Are you asking the question as a potential LL of this type of property or because you generally want to find peoples opinions.
If you are wanting to know from a potential LL its notjust the heating and windows that need to be considered but other factors including electrics, general state of repair and any certifications needed for cooking appliances etc, to name a few additional requirments of being a LL.frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!
