8 months ago my partner found a 10hrs a week cleaning job. We went to JCP and filled out the paper work and all was well.. For the last 8 months we have been providing wage slips and timesheets every two weeks/month respectively, and benefits have been reduced to compensate.. SO FAR SO GOOD..
7 weeks ago, my partner is offered a 2nd job. This is for 12hrs a week (Term time) so she does what she believes is correct and visits JCP.
The Advisor tells her we both need to attend an appointment.. One is made and we attend as instructed. During the interview my Partner is instructed she needs to sign off and i need to claim income based in my own right (still providing the time sheets and wage slips)
Next signing day I go in as usual. pen my name, provide timesheets for that fortnight and leave, fully expecting a payment later that week.
The VERY NEXT MORNING i receive a letter from DWP saying they will not be paying me anything from the 13th of last month as my partner works more than 24hrs a week (scroll up and do the math).
I of course went straight to the JCP and queried how this letter could have been sent before i had produced this fortnights timesheets. I was helped fill in a form and told to wait. DWP then sent me another form asking for more information (the same information i had already provided), so i went back to the JCP, had THEM fill in the forms on my behalf, THEY THEN SCANNED my forms and emailed them to the DWP.. I was then asked to get a written letter from the 2nd comapny my partner worked for to explain when she was getting her 1st wage slip.. This was also scanned by the JCP and emailed to them..
FOUR weeks later (Yesterday) i ring there call centre to see why i still have not heard anything for them to say "they have no recieved the paperwork requested" Arghh.. I explained that it had been sent from JCP and they promised to look into it.. I was promised that someone would call me before 4pm that day with an update.. I signed yesterday at 4pm.. While waiting my turn i overheard advisors arguing over was going to handle my signing as no one knew what to do.. I provided this last 2 weeks worth of time sheets (they were scanned and attached to an email, with a note that i wanted a call back) again no call back..
This morning i ring the DWP again, to be told the paperwork they were waiting for arrived on there desk THIS MORNING, and that i now have to wait another eight working days to have this processed...
I am at my witts end.. my partner is paid monthly (she does not get paid from her 2nd job til the end of this month) so we are living on half of what we usaully manage on..
What options do i have?

if your partner is earning more than £112 a week ( plus a small disregard) you will not be entitled to any payment but can continue to sign for your NI credit0
-
She isnt.. For the periods i am in battle with DWP about, she earnt £68 per week0
-
which is what she was earning for the seven months previous...0
-
you say she was offered the second job 7 weeks ago. when sis dhe actually start it?0
-
she started three weeks ago and is due a wage at the end of this month0

Looks like you are another victim of cutting the public purse. Every jobcentre has targets to reduce the amount of claimants, you won't win.0
