36 hours in New York

We are travelling to Chicago next week for a friends wedding.
My husband called me last night to say he has booked us a short break in New York for my birthday whilst we are out there.

Flying from Chicago to New York on Monday morning and returning Tuesday afternoon.

What are the 'must see's' that we should try to fit in?

Pretty excited as will be my first visit to NY!

Thanks :-)

You should go to the top of the Empire state Building, the views are amazing. You need to go at the start of the day though, as soon as it opens or it gets horribly crowded

Go to the top of The Rock for views on the night you get there.

Next day check out Times Square, then get the Staten Island Ferry for free - and good views of the Statue of Liberty.

    Walk through Central Park.

    then eat and shop!

You can book in advance on line.

Take a look at Grand Central Station.
