It frightens me to start this thread after the one I started on Hargreaves Lansdown but here goes.....
I know very little about Vector Hospitality apart from the fact that the hotel portfolio is worth in the region of £2.6 billion so the shares issued will place this company at the top end of the FTSE 250.
Quotes from communications received from Hoodless Brennan who are one of the brokers acting for Vector Hospitality and being paid around 1% for their share of the issue they act for.
'CLOSING DATE: No later than 16:30 on the 5th June 2007'
'Vector Hospitality has now announced the indicative price range of the issue as between 995p and 1115p per share. The actual listing price was not going to be set until after the closing date of 30th May 2007 but this has been extended to avoid the bank holiday to Tuesday 5th June.'
'The placing range has been declared as between 995p and 1115p and the actual listing price will be set by Vector Hospitality and its brokers after the closing date of applications of the 5th June 2007. Your application is not guaranteed to succeed and may be scaled back if the offer is oversubscribed.'
I don't imagine that this float will be anything like as controversial as HL but I would be grateful for any opinions or information on grey prices, etc. I will not be voicing any opinion after choking on my own words with the HL issue :-(
