Are you sure it is a good idea publishing your bank a/c details on a public forum?

I know I wouldn't and I would advise editing them out of your post.

Agree, you should perhaps edit your post to remove your bank details.

Best people to ask about your IBAN and BIC are your bank.

I've just phoned my bank and they gave me my code.

But I went and told some dude the wrong IBAN AND BIC by a few letters wrong.

Instead of GB87 I said GB82 and Instead of BIC: LOYDGB21114 the last few numbers are wrong.

    What will happen?

In the worst case scenario you and your dude will spend next 5 years trying to trace the lost money.

In the best case scenario (more likely) the transfer will be rejected or bounced.

BTW, AFAIK BIC is not needed for transfers from Europe.

    He is from Slovenia.

Any idea how long it will take to bounce?

Also do you think it will bounce as the account and sort was correct, just not the country / bic code.

    • if the dude is lucky, the money he sent will be returned to him
    • he may then be able to send the money to your correct details

Good luck, and hopefully a lesson learnt - - - ask before you jump, no after.
